LAS VEGAS OVERVIEW
In the middle of Nevada desert, with only an hour’s flight from Los Angeles is the most outlandish, elegant and opulent city called… Las Vegas! In this adult amusement park, every night is like New Year’s Eve. The Las Vegas, Nevada is a lively, exciting and energetic city, which was formed initiating from the wastelands of the Mojave Desert in Nevada. It was built with a purpose of supplying a betting and leisure haven intended for the entertainment of the populace, of post-war Los Angeles. At the start of the twentieth century, it didn't even exist and by the start of the twenty-first, its home to well over one million people.
Las Vegas boasts the vast majority of the world's largest hotels and around thirty-seven million tourists each year come to see the hotels themselves. Each of these hotels is much more than a mere residing place, as all of them invariably have a casino that lies at its core. These are extraordinary places, self-sufficient fantasylands and a collection of genuine excitement that can stretch as much as a mile from end to end. Each holds its own glitzy and flamboyant combination of showrooms and swimming pools, luxurious and comfortable guest quarters and restaurants, high-tech rides and attractions.

Gambling
The main thrust of the city is millions upon millions of slot machines. There's also the World Series Poker -incorporating the famous Texas hold poker; craps; bingo; blackjack; keno; roulette; and more.. Start your trip by touring the strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) - and checking out what each casino has to offer and you'll be amazed. The casinos want you to gamble, and they'll do almost anything to lure you in and sweep you into places like Caesars Palace. Whatever you came in for, finding your way out is virtually impossible. The action keeps going day and night, and slowly, in this windowless and clock-free environment, you will surely lose the track of time.
Gambling remains the heart of the Las Vegas experience. At most recent count, 28 other US states had joined Nevada in offering commercial casinos. The fact that the gambling industry is still booming is a credit to the casinos' ability to change with the times. The shows and restaurants, tigers and volcanoes, no matter how profitable any might be, are all just designed to make you stick around longer and spend more money on the slots and tables. Slots and other machines, now generate around 65 percent of Nevada's gaming revenue.
What's so smart about Las Vegas is that it makes certain, that you have such a good time that you don't mind losing a bit of money along the way; that's why they don't even call it "GAMBLING" anymore, but "GAMING".
